Information from UK Department for Transport on GAR reporting

In January 2024, the Home Office introduced Universal Permission to Travel (UPT) Response Messages to the Submit a General Aviation Report (sGAR) web service, which confirm whether an individual has a valid digital permission to travel, or if a manual check for a Visa needs to be conducted.

The next Universal Permission to Travel sGAR engagement event taking place on Tuesday 14th May at 15:30 – 16:30 GMT.

This interactive event will cover:

  • The Home Office’s digital vision and Universal Permission to Travel (UPT)
  • The new digital immigration products currently being rolled out, including eVisa’s and Electronic  Travel Authorisation (ETA)
  • sGAR changes which were introduced in January 2024, along with an overview of the Frequently Asked Questions from pilots, operators and agents
  • Reminder of the Help and Support available to pilots, operators and agents
  • Future Engagement overview, including sGAR feedback Questionnaire
