The internship programme has four key elements:

1)  Training: Attend a four-day training course covering basic aviation knowledge and introductions to various parts of the air charter industry.  The course culminates in an assessment and presentation of certificates of achievement. All costs for travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by the Association for this course. (London Biggin Hill Airport, w/c 03 August 2026).

2) Work Experience: A work placement for 1 or 2 weeks at a member company of The ACA.  We will provide a number of companies offering placements and arrange for you to join their team to gain practical experience.  (Aug / Sept / Oct)

3)  Project Work / Competition: as part of the programme you will need to select a project topic and prepare a report on an area of the industry.  These will be reviewed, and an award presented to the two top rated reports.

4)  Networking & Awards: The Air Charter Excellence Awards Dinner, one of the Associations largest events, takes place in November. The event hosts over 500 industry delegates and is a great networking opportunity with potential employers.  Interns receive a complimentary invitation to attend and the winners of the Project competition will be announced at the event.
