The ACA welcomes 14 countries to its first Broker-Operator Forum in Europe
The Air Charter Association (The ACA)’s Broker-Operator Forum took place on 4 October 2023 at FLYINGGROUP’s headquarters in Belgium.
This was The ACA’s first European forum with delegates from 14 countries attending including members from the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Lithuania and the Czech Republic as well as Belgium and the UK, highlighting the ongoing growth and importance of The ACA’s international membership.
The Forum was an exclusive event for broker and operator members of The ACA and offered senior air charter professionals the opportunity to gather and discuss industry challenges, issues and solutions for improving relationships in the industry. The agenda included a combination of panel discussions and interactive round table debates.
The Forum’s first session addressed challenges and risks faced by brokers and operators, with an opportunity for members to give their views on industry issues. The second session saw a focus on issues the industry is facing, in particular, sustainability, with discussions around best practice and how to increase engagement with sustainable policies. The panel also highlighted an industry desire for greater regulation on sustainability, to ensure a level playing field.
Commenting on sustainability at the Forum, The ACA’s chief executive, Glenn Hogben said: “Currently, the obligation lies with companies to determine their own sustainability strategies but the consequences often make them less competitive in the marketplace. At The ACA, we support our members in developing their own sustainable strategies and policies, enabling correct processes and providing advice on the best approaches.”
The day closed with informal networking and tours of FLYINGGROUP’s facilities.
