The ACA Reaches 400 Membership Milestone

The ACA’s global membership has reached a record more than 400 companies, with three new countries added to the Association’s international footprint.

With representation now from 58 countries globally, this membership milestone is attributed to the hard work of The ACA’s executive team, and particularly Membership Executive, Chris Adams, in showcasing the value the Association provides to its members.

Since its establishment in 1949, The Air Charter Association has been the go-to source of industry information, proactively representing members to governments and regulators, providing expert guidance, support and training, and organising unrivalled networking events. Through the ongoing expansion of its membership, The ACA has been able to deliver greater value to members by increasing the international distribution and scale of its events, grow the executive team and provide more training opportunities.

The ACA takes an active role in guiding members on industry affairs, sustainability and innovation, and supports attracting new talent and young professionals in the industry.

Kevin Ducksbury, chairman, The ACA says, “It is fantastic to have reached this 400-member milestone. The ongoing growth in membership will allow the Association to exert greater influence in helping the air charter sector meet its goals in transitioning towards net zero. This growth is testament to the hard work of all involved. We look forward to continuing to welcome members in the future and delivering even greater value for the air charter sector.”

The 400th member of The ACA is cargo operator One Air, which offers full charter services to clients in the international freight forwarding, logistics and air charter markets. Expanding its operations, One Air added a second Boeing 747-400 freighter to its fleet in December 2023 and a third is due in Q1 2024.

Paul Bennett, chairman & CEO, One Air says, “I recall attending my first Association lunch in London in 1993 with around 15 other guests when I worked with HeavyLift Cargo Airlines. Now, 30 years later, and as the owner of a British cargo airline, I am especially proud that we can be part of this significant milestone for the Association.

“The Air Charter Association has led the representation and development of the global air charter industry for the past 75 years. It is a strong, respected, and growing voice for our industry and works constantly to highlight the vital role air charter plays in the aviation market. Above all, it provides the best networking forum to connect and engage with clients and industry colleagues and, as a new and ambitious British cargo airline, we welcome this opportunity. One Air is honoured to become the 400th member of this outstanding industry association – and we encourage other air charter professionals to join up, too.”
