For almost 70 years, BACA – The Air Charter Association has been a central part of the air charter industry.  We are working harder than ever to deliver greater value to our members and have already undertaken a number of projects suggested by our members at our Symposium in May 2015 and through our Annual Member Survey.

These projects include our recent participation in and co-hosting of ACE’17 – our first ever conference and exhibition – as well as the incorporation of the association to a Company Limited by Guarantee.  We also recently appointed a part time Chief Executive and Administrator to work alongside our Business & Events Manager.

However, BACA is still run primarily by its Council of volunteers, led by our Chairman and Deputy Chairmen.  In order to provide our members with the greatest value and benefits of membership, it is essential that our Council represents the widest possible cross-section of our industry.

To help fulfil the association’s aims and develop our strategy for the next two years, we are actively seeking additional members to join the BACA Council. We would welcome candidates with experience in the operating and broking industries, particularly from within the commercial airline and cargo sectors, as well as from underrepresented areas of our industry.  We are keen to see more diversity in our Council membership.

This is a voluntary role and successful candidates would be expected to attend Council Meetings, which are regularly held in London, as well as some other remote work on our targeted sub-committees. Applicants should be actively working in the industry and willing to join fellow members of the Council to readily participate in and deliver on the many projects we are undertaking.   As such, successful candidates will be expected to be prepared to commit time to BACA on a regular basis.
