The area is now defined as an Active Conflict Zone and EASA has warned there are additional safety risks in flying in the bordering 100NM airspace over Russia and Belarus.

Operators are warned that the presence and possible use of a wide range of ground and airborne warfare systems poses a HIGH risk for civil flights operating at all altitudes and flight levels.  In particular, there is a risk of both intentional targeting and misidentification of civil aircraft.

Please take extra care and ensure you monitor this fast-developing situation and consider the impact on your potential flight routings and operations.

We will keep members updated on any significant changes to this.
