The Air Charter Broker Qualification
As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest industry standards, The ACA developed a standard Broker Qualification covering all the key knowledge and understanding needed by a competent and professional air charter broker.
Become a qualified Air Charter Broker
This qualification programme takes new and experienced brokers through a range of topics to both build and refresh their knowledge.
The course is designed over three sections starting with foundation knowledge at Level 1, developing through understanding operational aspects and managing flights in Level 2 and on into Advanced broker skills at Level 3. Each course is stand-alone, although successfully completing Levels 1 and 2 is a pre-requisite for Level 3.
Each Level is completed with an assessment and successful students receive a course certificate at each stage. Once all three Levels have been completed they will receive their full Broker Qualification certificate.
The foundation level of the Broker qualification is now available as an online course to enable our global membership to access this training locally.

Air Charter Essentials Certificate
A new course being launched in February 2026 to support all member companies, with an introduction to the industry for new staff. In many cases members are recruiting staff from outside the industry, with limited knowledge of aviation and the air charter industry. This course is also available to non-members to help individuals interested in a career in the industry.
The course covers all the basic knowledge to help acclimatise staff new to the industry, understand abbreviations, aircraft types, how chartering an aircraft works and the planning and preparation that is needed.
The one day in person course includes a knowledge assessment and will certainly save employers a huge amount of time helping new staff understand the basics and will help those looking to start an air charter career stand out from other candidates.
This course is available to employees of member companies and also to non-members. Association members and young persons aged 18-25 will receive a subsidised rate.

Training Quizzes
The Association has created training quizzes which will feature at some of our events as a great opportunity for delegates to test their air charter industry knowledge and for us to promote the importance of training and best practice.
If you have a company function and an air charter specific interactive quiz would add that extra aviation element to your event and help test your team’s knowledge, please get in touch to discuss.
