The Air Charter Association (The ACA) hosted the 2024 Air Charter Spring Lunch on Thursday 21 March at the iconic London Guildhall.
With more than 440 guests in attendance, including industry professionals from across the globe representing all sectors of the air charter market, the event started with a networking reception, followed by a three-course banquet in the Great Hall.
This year’s Spring Lunch was a carbon neutral event, supporting the active role The ACA is taking in the industry’s sustainability objectives. In cooperation with its sustainability partner, 4AIR, The ACA calculated and offset the carbon emissions for a total amount of 25 metric tonnes of CO₂, through investment into a Gold Standard European project. This figure considers the Guildhall venue energy and water consumption and waste, as well as the attendees’ travel to and from the event. Catering for the Spring Lunch was provided by Party Ingredients, consisting primarily of locally sourced produce.
The Association is grateful to the event sponsors: Jetex, Network Aviation Group, Starflight Aviation, Cambridge City Airport, Du Page Aerospace and VF Global for their support. The ACA would also like to thank members who donated a prize to the charity raffle, thanks to which, along with generous member contributions, The ACA was able to raise more than £3,500 for charity partner Fly2Help.
Kevin Ducksbury, chair of The Air Charter Association, says: “The Spring Lunch is a standout event in The ACA’s calendar, and a firm favourite amongst our membership. I am delighted to say that this year’s event was another enormous success, enjoyed by all in attendance.”
