Hunt & Palmer Cargo Charters Ltd has further expanded their specialist air cargo network with the appointment of Wexco Group as general sales agent for Australia and New Zealand.

This move is in keeping with Hunt & Palmer’s growth strategy for its cargo charter business and agreements have already been signed with GSA’s in Japan, North America and Benelux. Hunt & Palmer Cargo’s director Jamie Peters explains, “The strong relationships we have with our GSA partners in these regions reinforces Hunt & Palmer as an established presence in the global marketplace. This announcement also comes at a time when the Australian air freight market is continuing to make gains within the air charter sector in terms of demand for mining, livestock and event cargo.”

Wexco Aviation was established 35 years ago and is a well known name in the industry, providing airline cargo sales and GSA services to a number of international carriers including Qatar Airways, Air China and Polar Air Cargo. Welcoming the new tie up with Hunt & Palmer, Wexco’s CEO David Williams commented, “Wexco Aviation has considerable experience of representing both passenger and freight carriers gained over many years.
