Challenging climate drives record number of new member applications for The ACA

The Air Charter Association today reveals it has received a record number of new membership applications to date this year, with a 70% increase in new member applications, compared with the same period in 2020.

The leading global air charter trade association has received membership enquiries from the USA, Italy, Luxembourg and the UK. The ACA has also confirmed its first approved member from Georgia.

Glenn Hogben, who was appointed Chief Executive of The ACA in January, says: “The past year has been turbulent and challenging, firstly with Covid-19 and currently with the EU-UK operations. Our increased membership levels reflect the valuable support we offer our members globally. More now than ever before, air charter companies need support and guidance to help them deal with the increased level of new regulation, compliance and best-practice.

“Providing our members with updates and advice on the key industry issues has never been more vital. The ongoing EU-UK operating issues have not solely affected the European business aviation market but the entire global air charter market. We are working closely with other trade leaders and stakeholders to find the best route out of the current situation, and our team works every day to help steer our members through.

“Our diverse range of international membership enquiries, including our first Georgian member, is testimony to the value of our advice globally. We have been able to confirm a good number of new members to date, and others are currently going through our due diligence and assessment process.”
