BACA (the Air Charter Association) is presenting a brand new set of Awards for 2016. The highly regarded annual Awards ceremony is taking place at London Guildhall on 19^th October.

After a series of successful Awards lunches BACA decided the event should be refreshed to ensure that it remains reflective of current industry trends. With this in mind new Awards have been created, one for the Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year and one for the Young Person of the Year.  Additionally new sponsors have been kind enough to demonstrate their support of the Awards, BACA is delighted to announce the full line up for 2016 are as follows;
– Passenger Charter Airline of the Year (sponsored by Air Charter Service)
– Cargo Charter Airline of the Year (sponsored by Transvalair)
– Handling Agent / FBO of the Year (sponsored by London Executive Aviation)
– Young Person of the Year (sponsored by TAG Farnborough)
– Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year (sponsored by Biggin Hill Airport)
– BACA Chairman’s Award (sponsored by Titan Airways)

The nominations process is underway with BACA members currently being asked to nominate suitable candidates. Members are encouraged to log into the website and follow the links to vote.  From these nominations the membership will subsequently be asked to vote for a series of shortlisted finalists.

BACA Chairman Richard Mumford says that he is “Extremely pleased with the way the 2016 Awards are progressing and would like to thank the sponsors for their commitment to the event.” He went on to say that “The 2016 Awards lunch will feature a number of innovations to make this a most inclusive and compelling Awards lunch so far.  I look forward to seeing as many members as possible on the 19^th of October.”

Air Hamburg were an award winner in 2015, Managing Director Floris Helmers said “For Air Hamburg, as a rapidly expanding European Operator, winning the BACA Excellence Award last year was both a huge honour for me personally but also fabulous recognition to my hard working team. BACA is the largest Air Charter Organisation in the world, so to receive such a prestigious award is a major milestone in our company’s history”
